"A lot of our customer base are customers that we actually met through the GreenMarket," Jean Marseille told WPTV before the market's 32nd season opened. "So it's been tremendous for us." His French bakery, Café Marseille, opened its own café on Okeechobee Boulevard this summer. It still sells pastries on the Great Lawn every Saturday.
His story is common at this market. Over the years, the GreenMarket has served as a starting point for local food businesses. A booth on Clematis Street is how many of them tested a product, found customers and raised the case for a lease. Only one of the shops they eventually opened is downtown. The rest are spread out along Okeechobee Boulevard, Northlake Boulevard, Southern Boulevard and Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington. Saturday morning at 100 N. Clematis St. is the one time of the week they all sit within a few steps of each other.
The market reopened Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, on the waterfront Great Lawn at 100 N. Clematis St. It runs 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This season's theme is "The World, Right Here." According to the City of West Palm Beach, the season includes global food traditions, live music, chef showcases and pop-up workshops. Markets run every Saturday through May 22, 2027. The two exceptions are Feb. 6 and March 20.
The audience size explains why the market works so well as a starting point. City officials told WPTV in September 2026 that an average Saturday draws 10,000 to 15,000 visitors. A new bakery on a side street would need a long time to meet that many people. A booth gets that kind of exposure in a single morning, from people who came to buy food. In the same report, vendors described the market as their route from weekend booths to permanent storefronts.
These are the market businesses that now also have a weekday address. Hours change often, so treat the ones below as a starting point.
| Business | What it's known for | Weekday address | Hours listed |

Café Marseille is the newest of these shops. The Palm Beach Post reports it opened July 31 on Okeechobee Boulevard. The address is 7776 Okeechobee Blvd., just west of the Florida Turnpike. According to Hoodline, the kitchen uses only French flour and French butter. Its best-known items include a cube-shaped croissant filled with chocolate ganache, a fleur cookie topped with Valrhona ganache, and a capri chicken baguette with breaded chicken, sundried tomato and pesto baked into the sourdough. The café closes Mondays.
About three miles east on the same road, Bread by Johnny runs its West Palm Beach bakery at 4833 Okeechobee Blvd., Suite 105. A second shop is in Jupiter at 1695 W. Indiantown Road, Suite 6. Its website says the loaves are made from scratch with freshly milled organic flour and sourdough starter. WLRN counted the bakery among the market's legacy vendors in its October 2025 GreenMarket feature. The Jupiter shop keeps different hours, Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ganache Bakery's owners told WLRN that market shoppers kept asking where else they could buy the food, and that helped push them to open a storefront within blocks of the market. The shop is at 306 S. Dixie Hwy. It sells Caribbean cakes and rum desserts. The business dates its founding to 2011. WPTV profiled the downtown shop in February 2026.
Palm Beach Cider Donuts may be the longest-running vendor on this list. "We've been a vendor for over 25 years," owner Travis Oimoen told WPTV. The business also has a storefront on Northlake Boulevard and still sells at the market each season. WLRN placed the shop at 797 Northlake Blvd., next to the Book Exchange & Comic Shop. The mini donuts are cooked fresh in flavors such as apple cider, wild blueberry, red velvet, double chocolate, party cake and pumpkin, and come with dipping sauces. There is no seating, so plan on takeout. Pumpkin is the flavor that matches late October.
The coffee vendors spread out the farthest. SanVel Coffee's Mauricio Sanchez told WPTV, "Our coffee is sourced directly in Colombia. We roast here every week." The company's locations page lists shops in Wellington and Delray Beach, and it still lists the West Palm Beach GreenMarket as one of its markets. The Wellington shop is at 10120 Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 160, in Pointe at Wellington Green. SanVel's site traces the coffee to Antioquia, Colombia.
Chik Monk Coffee also has a history at the GreenMarket, and the business moved into its own shop in December 2021. Its beans come from co-owner Nandini Jayaprasad's family estate in Chikmagalur, India, and are roasted locally. The company's website now lists two locations, 229 Sunrise Ave. in Palm Beach and 217 Southern Blvd. in West Palm Beach.
Bakeries that didn't start at the market are opening downtown too. The Daily Focaccia opened Oct. 5 on Evernia Street, in a storefront facing South Dixie Highway, the Palm Beach Post reported. That puts it a short walk from Ganache. Café Marseille now covers the west side of the city and The Daily Focaccia the east. 212 Bagel Co. has announced a November opening in the 500 block of Clematis Street, according to the Palm Beach Post. That date is still a target, not a confirmed opening.
The waterfront calendar picks up as the season starts:
